Never enough

This world needs more love, there is never enough. It is the only thing we can never have too much of that everyone is capable of.

Family portraits 2015

I made a series of portrait paintings for my husband for our anniversary last year.  I love them. I hope to make more this year.

Chris and Lennon

This was my first painting from my own inspiration. Not ideas from other peoples paintings.

I got inspired to do this piece right after I had my youngest baby. In November 2014 I read such a sad and tragic story about a sweet man Chris Picco who lost his wife unexpectedly, only to lose his premature son a few days later. There is a video on Youtube that shows him singing 'Blackbird' by the Beatles, to his son Lennon in the NICU. When I saw it I cried.

This story is so sad and moving that this was the first image that came to my mind.

This is one of my earliest acrylic paintings.

Seasons

This was a second attempt at a four seasons tree.

The first

This was my first attempt to work with acrylics 2 years ago.  I was so nervous because all I had ever worked with before was watercolors. So now I need to be brave and attempt oils... some day this summer but not today.

This is a family tree I painted for my mother. I need to update it a little.

Christmas 2015
